Chris Christie is telling Republicans that if Donald Trump wins the White House, he will demand that a special law is passed that allows him to purge all Obama appointees from the government.
Reuters reported:
If he wins the presidency, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump would seek to purge the federal government of officials appointed by Democratic President Barack Obama and could ask Congress to pass legislation making it easier to fire public workers, Trump ally, Chris Christie, said on Tuesday.
Christie, who is governor of New Jersey and leads Trump’s White House transition team, said the campaign was drawing up a list of federal government employees to fire if Trump defeats Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in the Nov. 8 presidential election.
Trump will replace the full-time federal employees with business people who will work part-time in government while keeping their private sector jobs.
Trump wants to corrupt the entire federal government by bringing back the patronage system, but instead the corruption will be carried by business people who will make government serve their own interests through the civil service.
What Christie suggested that Trump wants is a system that will lead to a corrupt authoritarian government. Trump wants to the United States of America into Putin’s Russia.
Donald Trump thinks that he is going to walk into the White House, and demand that Congress pass special laws so that he can purge people that he believes are his political enemies.
Trump is proving that he is not only a danger to democracy. He is also a danger to the entire republic.
