Obama Pounces: If Trump Can’t Handle A Twitter Account, He Shouldn’t Have Nuclear Codes

In Florida on Sunday, President Obama launched an all-out assault on the recent news that Donald Trump’s campaign took away his Twitter privileges for the final two days of the campaign.

Obama said that if Trump can’t be trusted on a social media outlet, the American people shouldn’t give him the enormous power of the presidency.

Obama said:

Apparently, [Trump’s] campaign has taken away his Twitter. In the last two days, they had so little confidence in his self-control, they said, “We’re just gonna take away your twitter.” Now, if somebody can’t handle a Twitter account, they can’t handle the nuclear codes. If somebody starts tweeting at three in the morning because SNL made fun of you, then you can’t handle the nuclear codes.

The president wasn’t done with Trump, though. He also went after the Republican nominee’s blatant lie that Obama shouted down a Trump supporter during a recent rally for Hillary Clinton.

Obama said that Trump “didn’t just make it up, but said the exactly opposite of what had happened – with impunity.” The president added: “There was tape, there was a video … The point is he thought it was okay just to lie in front of all his supporters on television. He wasn’t even trying to be sneaky about it.”

As the campaign reaches its conclusion, Obama is showing no signs of letting up on Trump – and he seems to be enjoying himself in the process. The president is once again proving to be the most effective messenger when it comes to laying out why Donald Trump is simply unfit to be president.
