Fox News wasted no time firing back and President Trump after he tried to blame the cable network for his claim that the British helped Obama spy on him. Fox made Trump look nuts by saying there is no evidence that Trump was wiretapped.

Video of Sheppard Smith reading Fox News’s rebuttal to Trump:
During his joint press conference with Angela Merkel, Trump said, “All we did was quote a certain very talented legal mind who was the one responsible for saying that on television. I didn’t make an opinion on it. That was a statement made by a very talented lawyer on Fox, and so you shouldn’t be talking to me. You should be talking to Fox.”
Fox replied, “Fox News can not confirm Judge Napolitano’s commentary. Fox News knows of no evidence of any kind that the now President Of The United States was surveilled at any time in any way. Full stop.”
In other words, the Fox News message back to Trump was, don’t try to blame your crazy on us. We just push conspiracy theories. We aren’t responsible for you believing them.
When Fox News decides that they need to step back because Donald Trump is too crazy for them, that’s saying something.
Even Fox News doesn’t want to stand too close to Trump on his Obama wiretapped me conspiracy theory.
