CNN’s Anderson Cooper was obviously sick of watching Jeffrey Lord defend everything that Trump does, so the CNN host asked Lord, “If he took a dump on his desk, would you defend it?”

After Lord had defended Trump telling the Russians, he fired Comey to take the pressure off by saying, “I don’t care what he says. He’s the President Of The United States. If he wants to say that. If Barack Obama wants to say whatever. If George Bush says, I looked in his eyes…”
Cooper asked, “If he took a dump on his desk, would you defend it?”
Lord (laughing), “What?”
Cooper, “I mean, I don’t. What he would do that you would not defend?”
This is where America is at. There is nothing that Donald Trump can do that his supporters won’t defend. If Trump pulled down his pants and went to the bathroom on his desk, his supporters would praise him for his independence and smart saving of personal energy by not walking to the restroom.
The media is finally starting to catch on that there is literally nothing that the Cult of Trump won’t justify, rationalize, and support.
There can be no meeting in the middle because those who support Trump believe that he is always correct.
Anderson Cooper’s question was not the norm for cable news, but it made a point. If Trump supporters are going to defend everything he does, why do we even bother asking them their opinion about anything?
