What little fragments were left of the Trump presidency were set ablaze by the President as he defended racists and blamed the left for the violence in Charlottesville.

Video of Trump blaming the left:
Trump said, “I think there is blame on both sides. You had a group on one side that was bad and you had a group on the other side that was also very violent and nobody wants to say that but I’ll say it right now. You had a group on the other side that came charging in without a permit. They were very violent.”
Trump claimed that he watched Charlottesville very closely and that people on the left were swinging clubs.
The President said not all of the people there were neo-Nazis and white supremacists.
Trump went on to equate Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson with George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.
With one bonkers press conference that was a heartfelt defense of neo-Nazis and racists, Donald Trump destroyed what was left of the burning embers of his presidency. Trump made it clear who his base is and who he will be catering to.
Anyone with eyes and ears understood who was responsible for the violence in Charlottesville. Trump was already the most unpopular president, but the press conference today gave the American people ample reason to run him out of the White House on a rail.
