President Donald Trump warned his fired National Security Adviser Mike Flynn to “stay strong” last April, and Flynn is “staying strong” by refusing a new request to appear as a witness before the Senate Intelligence committee, according to a report by CNN.

A congressional source told CNN that fired former NSA and retired General Mike Flynn “has refused a new request to appear as a witness before the Senate intelligence committee.”
Flynn, who is under investigation as part of the investigation into the Trump campaign’s possible collusion with Russia to interfere in the U.S. election and was seeking immunity to testify to Congress back in April, announced that he had been sent a message by Trump to “Stay strong.” This alleged interference by Trump hints at witness tampering.
Yahoo’s Michael Isikoff reported, “Not only did he remain loyal to President Trump, he indicated he and the president were still in communication. ‘I just got a message from the president to stay strong,’ Flynn said after the meal was over, according to two sources who are close to Flynn and are familiar with the conversation, which took place on April 25.”
The odds are against Flynn being taken to any real task for refusing to comply with the Senate’s May subpoena.
However, in the broader sense, Flynn is under criminal investigation by the FBI so his decision to stand by Trump is a decision to go down with the Trump Titanic, should it hit the Russia iceberg.
