A Demented Trump Thinks That The US Virgin Islands Are A Foreign Country

During a speech at the Value Voters Summit, Trump claimed to have met with the president of the Virgin Islands, even though he is the president of the US Virgin Islands because they are a US territory.

The White House tried to clean up Trump’s mistake in the official transcript that was provided to PoliticusUSA, “We also stand with the millions of people who have suffered from the massive fires, which are right now raging in California, and the catastrophic hurricanes along the Gulf Coast, in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands. And I will tell you, I left Texas, and I left Florida, and I left Louisiana, and I went to Puerto Rico, and I met with the president [governor] of the Virgin Islands.”

Trump thinks he is meeting with the leader of a foreign country when he talks to a governor of a US territory. The intense spotlight of the presidency has taken the country past the point of Trump doesn’t know things, and straight into, there is something wrong with Donald Trump.

It isn’t ignorance alone that is fueling these mistakes. Trump doesn’t seem to know who he is talking to, where he is at, and what he is doing in these public appearances. His troubling statements are way beyond a man who is intellectually limited and in over his head. Trump doesn’t seem to know what is going on.

With each passing day, it is obvious that Donald Trump can’t carry out the constitutionally mandated duties of the presidency.
