Moron In Chief: Rex Tillerson Essentially Confirms That He Called Trump A Moron

On CNN’s State Of The Union, Sec. of State Rex Tillerson was given a chance to deny that he called Trump a moron. He didn’t dispute the story.

Jake Tapper asked, “Is it true? Did you call him a moron?”

Tillerson answered, Jake, as I indicated earlier when asked about that, I am not going to deal with that kind of petty stuff. I mean, this is a town that seems to relish gossip, rumor, and innuendo, and they feed on it. They feed on one another in a very destructive way, and I don’t work that way. I don’t deal that way, and I’m just not going to dignify the question. I call the President Mr. President. He and I have a very open, frank, and candid relationship. I see him often. I speak to him nearly every day. I’m in the Oval Office a number of hours every week. We have a very open exchange of views on policy. At the end of the day, he makes decisions. I go out and do the best I can to execute those decisions successfully, and he understands at all times what we are trying to achieve to implement his foreign policy.”

If the story isn’t true, Tillerson could have shot it down with a one-word answer. All he had to say was no. Instead, he delivered a one minute monologue on his relationship with Trump. The Secretary of State used several buzzwords that all but confirmed the NBC News story. When a political figure starts describing relationships as “open, frank, and honest,” that means that they don’t get along. Tillerson has had several chances to deny that he called Trump a moron. His denial would make the story go away.

The fact that he won’t deny it suggests that he did call Trump an f-ing moron and that he still believes it to be true.
