Trump’s propaganda tweets were undercut by his own White House as it is being reported that privately, Trump knows he will be blamed for the government shutdown.
The New York Times reported, “After the failed negotiations on Capitol Hill and at the White House, Democrats predicted that the public would blame Mr. Trump and his Republican allies for a government shutdown, citing past examples of political stalemates in which voters punished Republican presidents and lawmakers. Throughout the day, Mr. Trump told aides that he knows he is going to get blamed for the shutdown, regardless of what happens and how it goes down.”

Trump put out several tweets on Saturday morning trying to blame the Democrats for the shutdown, but it is common knowledge that the president walked away from two different deals that would have kept the government open.
The White House won’t put Trump on television to address the nation or answer reporters questions about the shutdown. They are going to keep the president hidden and on Twitter for as long as they can because one suspects that anything Trump says in front of a live microphone unscripted about the shutdown will only make things worse.
A president who is only capable of governing through negativity and division gave himself the perfect first anniversary of his presidency gift. Trump shut the government down, because Donald Trump has no interest, vision, or driving motivation to govern.
Trump is so bad at being president that he is making the basics of the job look impossible through indecision and incompetence.
The presidency requires experience and temperament. Voters should never take those two criteria for granted ever again when choosing a president.
