The Rats Are Fleeing As Sen. Tom Cotton Tries Weasel Away From Trump’s Racist Vulgarity

When asked if Trump used a vulgarity by NBC’s Chuck Todd, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) responded by stating that he wasn’t going to defend every word that was or wasn’t said.

All right, you question the credibility of the Democrats when they go into a meeting and they come out. I’ve got to ask you about the infamous meeting of 10 days ago. Did the president use a vulgarity?

SEN. TOM COTTON:

Chuck, I’m not going to get into every word that was or was not said. I will say, as many people have said, Kirstjen Nielsen, under oath, a lot of strong language was used. I think it’s fair — that there was some cursing behind closed doors.

CHUCK TODD:

Okay, why couldn’t you–

SEN. TOM COTTON:

The point–

CHUCK TODD:

–but what I don’t understand is in the first 48 hours that there was a controversy about whether was said, you implied it wasn’t said at all. And it made it seem as if you were accusing Dick Durbin of being a liar.

Cotton is a big Trump defender, so if he is weasling, things are bad.

Cotton later focused on whether or not Trump repeatedly used vile and racist language, instead of if Trump used the term s—hole countries. Cotton tried to shift the discussion from whether or not Trump used that term to a debate out if Trump used that kind of language repeatedly.

Sen. Tom Cotton is one of Trump’s biggest defenders. He is also rumored to be part of the far right gang that killed the DACA deal, so if Cotton is looking for a way to weasel out of defending something that Trump said, things are bad.

Cotton tried to muddy the waters but what clearly stood out is that the Senator from Arkansas was looking for the lifeboats and trying to bail on the s-hole countries defense of Trump.
