Meghan McCain, daughter of GOP Arizona Sen. John McCain, took to Twitter on Saturday to slam the Conservative Political Action Conference crowd for booing her father as he continues to battle brain cancer.

Responding to a tweet from CPAC head and right-wing hack Matt Schlapp, McCain called the treatment of her father by CPAC attendees “inexcusable.”
The Twitter back-and-forth:
The man behind the boos, of course, was none other than Donald Trump, who used part of his speech at the conference to bash Sen. McCain for voting against the repeal of Obamacare.
“Except for one senator, who came into a room at 3 o’clock in the morning and went like that, we would have had health care too,” the shameful president said.
This isn’t the first time the filterless president has attacked the Arizona senator. During the campaign, Trump slammed McCain’s war service, saying the fact that he was captured in Vietnam means he isn’t a war hero.
“I like people who weren’t captured,” said Trump, a man who has spent exactly zero says serving his country.
Ultimately, there is no boundary this president won’t cross in order to score the applause of his base. Instead of putting politics aside as McCain battles a life-threatening illness, Trump doubled down on his repugnant behavior and rhetoric.
What’s worse? His adoring sheep love it.
