Stormy Daniels’ Lawyer Says Six More Women Have Come Forward Alleging Trump Affairs

Stormy Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti was on CNN last night and MSNBC this morning with some explosive news concerning the sordid affairs of President Donald J. Trump.  According to Avenatti, six different women have contacted him saying they all have stories to tell that are very similar to Ms. Daniels’ story.

In his on-air comments Mr. Avenatti made clear that he has not investigated the accounts of these women beyond a superficial review.  In his CNN appearance he said he had not vetted the stories, but said that “at least two of the women have non-disclosure agreements.” All six claim sexual relations with the president, he said.

“As of tonight, we’ve been approached by six separate women with similar stories to my client,” said Avenatti in an interview on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360.” “I want to stress that we have not vetted these stories to a great degree, however the initial consultation, the initial information that we’re receiving indicate that there are some striking similarities between their stories and that of my client, Miss Clifford.”

On CNN, Avenatti did not elaborate as to what the “striking similarities” were between Daniels’ story and the stories of these six other women.

Avenatti is representing Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, in a lawsuit against Donald Trump that would allow her to publicly disclose the details of her alleged sexual relationship she had with Trump in 2006 and 2007.

On the MSNBC show ‘Morning Joe’ today Avenatti was asked by Mika Brzezinski, “what does your client want?” And Avenatti’s response was very clear:  “She wants a forum where she can tell her story, unrestrained. She wants to tell the American people the truth of what happened. Not just what happened between her and the president, but also the attempts by Michael Cohen and Donald Trump to muzzle her and prevent her from telling her story.”

“Once the American people have a chance to hear Ms. Daniels they will be able to assess her veracity and they will come to the conclusion that she is very very credible,” Avenatti added.  Michael Cohen is the president’s personal attorney.

Avenatti also said during the MSNBC interview that he has evidence that Donald Trump knew in advance about the $130,000 in “hush money” paid by Cohen under the terms of the nondisclosure agreement with Daniels, but he would not discuss the specifics of what evidence he has.  He said that he will prove beyond all doubt that Trump directed the payment of the $130,000 payment, and that it was not made by Cohen but by Trump, from assets of his business.

Concerning the six new women who have come forward Avenatti said that he is “in the very very early stages” of determining the veracity of their stories and he has not decided if his law firm will represent them.

“I don’t know whether these women are telling the truth, or not,” Avenatti added.  “I’m not going to stake my reputation on them.”  He said his firm would take additional measures to investigate each woman’s story and would agree to represent them only if he is “100% sure” they are telling the truth, just like he did with Ms. Daniels.

Avenatti said that his client’s interview with the CBS show ’60 Minutes’ was scheduled to be broadcast on March 25th and that he has “heard through the grapevine” that Trump’s lawyers would take legal action to prevent the broadcast.  As of now, he said, he has seen nothing to indicate that any legal action had been taken.
