After news broke that Fox News host Sean Hannity was the third mystery client of Michael Cohen, President Trump’s personal lawyer, Hannity went on air to downplay, if not totally dismiss, the reports.

“Let me be very clear to the media: Michael never represented me in any matter,” he said on his radio show. “I never retained him in the traditional sense as retaining a lawyer. I never received an invoice from Michael. I never paid legal fees to Michael.”
He then added, “But, I have occasionally had brief discussions with him about legal questions about which I wanted his input and perspective.”
At another point in the broadcast he said, “Not one of any issue I ever dealt with Michael Cohen on never, never involved a third-party.”
Cohen’s home was raided by the FBI a week ago, and documents seized from that raid are where Hannity is named as a client of the lawyer.
Hannity defended Cohen numerous times after the raid.
Details on what exactly Hannity consulted Cohen about have yet to be released, but it’s undoubtedly information the television host would prefer to keep under wraps.
