Top Democrat Calls For An Independent Commission To Get Russia Probe Away From Republicans

House Intelligence and Judiciary Committees member Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) called out Republicans and told them that it is time to back up their talk with action to protect America from another Russian attack.

Swalwell said, “Lower than I thought we ever could go. There may have been an American flag on that stage, but I did not see an American president. I saw two defenders of Russia. I saw a president whose primary role, principle responsibility to defend the United States, and he sided with Russia. We’re not helpless here in our founders gave us an opportunity to stand up and defend the United States. We should protect the Mueller investigation, and appoint an independent commission and take this outside of Congress so the American people can understand what happened. We should devote every resource possible to address the concern DNI, Dan Coats has raised that our grid and our election systems can be compromised. I have seen the tweets and heard the talk from my Republican colleagues. Talk is cheap. What will you do legislatively? What will you do with your vote to protect us?”

This investigation needs to be taken out of the hands of Republicans ASAP. The Peter Strzok hearing demonstrated that House Republicans are engaged in a full-blown cover-up for Trump. Democrats are challenging Republicans to step and protect their country, and if they don’t, it will be a Democratic Congress who will be voted in by the people in November.
