Liberals Rejoice! Ginsburg Says She Will Stay At Least 5 More Years

Every liberal and anti-Trump person in America will be rejoicing today after comments Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg made yesterday when she said she plans to remain on the Supreme Court until the age of 90.

“I’m now 85,” Ginsburg said on Sunday  in New York. “My senior colleague, Justice John Paul Stevens, he stepped down when he was 90, so think I have about at least five more years.”

To confirm that she has no plans to retire soon, Ginsburg has already hired law clerks for two more terms of the Supreme Court.

Ginsburg comments came after she attended a production of “The Originalist,” a play about the late Justice Antonin Scalia, at the 59E59 Theater.

“If I had my choice of dissenters when I was writing for the court, it would be Justice Scalia,” Ginsburg said. “The back and forth would help me form my arguments. Sometimes it was like a ping-pong game.”

Asked by “The Originalist” Director Molly Smith what keeps her “hopeful,” Ginsburg said it was the memory of her late husband, Marty Ginsburg who reminded her that there was an ebb and flow in American life.

“My dear spouse would say that the true symbol of the United States is not the bald eagle — it is the pendulum,” Ginsburg said. “And when it goes very far in one direction you can count on its swinging back.”

When asked about term limits for Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg said that would not happen.

“You can’t set term limits, because to do that you’d have to amend the Constitution,” Ginsburg said. “Article 3 says … we hold our offices during good behavior.”

“And most judges are very well behaved,” she added.

After Ginsburg’s comments were reported on Sunday the phrase “Ruth Bader Ginsburg” was one of the top trending topics on Twitter. On seeing that, many liberals panicked, fearing the worst. They refused to look up the news. They prayed. They offered their kidneys.

“Ruth Bader Ginsburg was trending. My heart stopped for a moment. I prayed. Then I saw it was due to her quote of wanting to stay on 5 more years and I exhaled.”

Tweeted another fan:

“Saw Ruth Bader Ginsburg trending & I was on my way to the hospital to donate all my organs to keep her alive. Then was relieved to see that she would be here another 5 years. Whew!”

The collective sigh of relief came when her fans and admirers realized that Ginsburg was not only still alive but she had also announced that she does not plan on stepping down anytime soon.

Ginsburg’s declaration brought relief to millions of Americans who have been obsessing over her health since the beginning of the Trump administration.

Asked last year if she was contemplating retirement, she said, “as long as I can do the job full steam, I will do it.”
