Trump Unintentionally Describes Himself In Deranged Twitter Attack On John Brennan

Anyone paying attention to Donald Trump over the past year and a half knows that he likes to attack his enemies with insults that actually apply to him. He has perfected the art of projection.

Calling Hillary Clinton crooked. Claiming the Democrats are the real Russian colluders. Attacking the media for not being honest.

These are things that are actually true about Trump – he is under criminal investigation, his campaign colluded with Russia, and he’s the most dishonest president in history – but he has convinced his supporters that they are only true of his enemies.

In a Saturday morning meltdown – what’s new? – the president continued this pattern of projection by launching a Twitter attack on former CIA director John Brennan, who recently had his security clearance revoked because he’s a Trump critic and Mueller witness.

In a tweet, the president called Brennan “nothing less than a loudmouth, partisan, political hack who cannot be trusted with the secrets to our country!”

Just about every word of that tweet applies to Trump

Brennan spent decades in the intelligence community working to keep this country safe. He was instrumental in the operation that led to Osama bin Laden’s death. Anyone who believes Trump’s insults that this man is a “loudmouth … who cannot be trusted with the secrets to our country” needs to put down the Trump sauce.

It doesn’t take a stable genius to recognize that the real loudmouth who should be denied access to top secret information is sitting in the Oval Office.

Once again, Trump is creating an alternate universe in which the very true allegations made against him – corruption, collusion, lying, the mismanagement of classified material – only apply to his enemies.

In order to accurately reflect reality, here’s how the deranged president’s tweet should read: “Has anyone looked at the mistakes that Donald Trump has made while serving as president? He will go down as easily the WORST in history & since getting in, he has become nothing less than a loudmouth, partisan, political hack who cannot be trusted with the secrets to our country!”
