The clips from Brett Kavanaugh‘s Fox News interview show him looking weak and unconvincing as he discussed the sexual assault allegations that have been made against him.

Kavanaugh said after a long pause, “I’m not going to let false accusations drive us out of this process. (pause) And, um, we’re looking for a fair process where I can be heard and defend the integrity. My lifelong record, my lifelong record of promoting dignity and equality for women (uneasy smile) starting with the women who knew me when I was 14 years old. I’m not going anywhere.”

The Supreme Court nominee also claimed that he never sexually assaulted anyone:

Kavanaugh said, “I am not questioning and have not questioned that perhaps Dr. Ford at some point in her life was sexually assaulted by someone at some place but what I know is I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone.”

Brett Kavanaugh Did Not Look Good In This Interview

Brett Kavanaugh is claiming that it is all a case of mistaken identity. He didn’t sexually assault Christine Blasey Ford, but maybe it was some other Brett Kavanaugh who went to Georgetown Prep.

Fox News has become state-run TV for Trump. They even had a Roger Ailes defender when Ailes was accused of sexual assault conduct the interview. Brett Kavanaugh was given every home court advantage, and he came off looking bad. Kavanaugh would have been better off keeping his mouth closed and not going on television.

It is clear that the Fox News interview is part of a last-ditch effort to drum up support for saving Kavanaugh’s nomination by getting Republicans engaged, but Brett Kavanaugh doesn’t make a convincing case for his innocence. After the American people see this interview, calls should grow for his nomination to be voted down.
