Trump ended the fake midterm election hysteria over the migrant caravan by ordering the US troops that he deployed to the Southern border home.

Politico reported:

The general overseeing the deployment told POLITICO on Monday that the first troops will start heading home in the coming days as some are already unneeded, having completed the missions for which they were sent. The returning service members include engineering and logistics units whose jobs included placing concertina wire and other barriers to limit access to ports of entry at the U.S.-Mexico border.

All the troops should be home by Christmas, as originally expected, Army Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Buchanan said in an interview Monday.

“Our end date right now is 15 December, and I’ve got no indications from anybody that we’ll go beyond that,” said Buchanan, who leads the land forces of U.S. Northern Command.

Trump’s Migrant Caravan Con Flopped

Trump thought that he could terrify enough voters to the polls to hold off the blue wave by deploying troops to the border to defend against a caravan of impoverished people who are traveling on foot and seeking asylum. It didn’t work. The migrants are still moving, but suddenly, there is no need for troops on the border.

The threat was never real, and every media outlet which gave the caravan attention, as if it was a threat, played into Trump’s hands. The election is over, and Trump is facing a huge political backlash over potentially keeping the troops away from their families on Christmas, so he is sending them home.

A political stunt that has already cost the taxpayers tens of millions of dollars was for nothing.

The caravan fraud is finished, and Democrats must investigate this decision or else it is certain that Trump will pull the same stunt during his 2020 reelection campaign.
