Trump is Hunting Down the Person Who Leaked His ‘Executive Time’ Schedule

Donald Trump has reportedly launched a comprehensive internal investigation into who leaked his schedule to Axios last week.

POLITICO reported late Friday that the search has been approved by Trump himself and is being directed by acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney.

They are working with the White House IT (Information Technology) department and have already begun to narrow down their list of possible culprits in the leaking scandal.

One administration official told POLITICO that the guilty party appears to be a career government employee who works in the White House. This would mean that the leaker was not somebody appointed by the president to work in his administration.

The White House earlier this week blasted the leaking of the schedule, which showed that Trump has spent about 60 percent of his time over the past three months in “Executive Time.”

“What a disgraceful breach of trust to leak schedules. What these don’t show are the hundreds of calls and meetings @realDonaldTrump takes everyday. This POTUS is working harder for the American people than anyone in recent history,” White House Director of Oval Office operations Madeleine Westerhout tweeted in response to the Axios story.

Aides told POLITICO that Trump uses those time blocks to watch TV, call people, read newspapers and do other work.

While critics have slammed the schedules as proof the president is slacking on the job, the White House says executive time is used to keep Trump abreast of legislation and maintain relationships on Capitol Hill, among other things.

“He’s not a slacker. The guy works. He may not have it all scheduled but the guy’s a grinder,” David Urban, a former senior Trump campaign adviser, told POLITICO. “He’s not a guy who sits on his hands.”

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Hill on Friday night.

Trump personally has fumed over the massive amounts of leaks that have characterized his tenure in the White House.

“The spotlight has finally been put on the low-life leakers! They will be caught!” the president tweeted in early 2017, shortly after taking office.

However, last week wasn’t the first time that Trump’s light work schedule has been leaked. In January of last year we reported that Trump was devastated when it was leaked that he didn’t begin his work day until 11:00 a.m.. And then last October we also reported that Trump’s time spent watching cable news is many times greater than the amount of time he spends doing official work as president.

Donald Trump is a lazy slacker who has never taken his job as President of the United States seriously. It is long past the time when we should replace him with someone who will actually do the job he was elected to do.
