Ivanka Trump said in an interview, “There were anonymous leaks about there being issues, but the president had no involvement pertaining to my clearance or my husband’s clearance.”
Chris Hayes responded, “Just a lie. A flat out on camera lie by Ivanka Trump right there, looking at Abby Huntsman and lying. The words coming out of her mouth are lies. Untrue things. Lies.”

We now know that not only was Trump involved, but he also overruled intelligence officials, including the CIA, and ordered them to give his son in law a high-level security clearance despite the fact that governments around the world were discussing how they could manipulate Kushner because he is compromised. The lesson here is simple, and more than two years into the Trump presidency it should not need to be said, but Trumps lie.
It doesn’t matter if it is Donald Trump, his wife, or his kids. Lying is how the Trumps conduct business. They will look you in the eye and lie. It is silly to look back on the stories that painted Ivanka Trump as a moderating force on her father. Ivanka is a poison apple that hasn’t fallen far from the corrupt tree, and now she has been caught in a lie that has placed US national security at risk.
