What Cummings is investigating should terrify the White House. Rep. Cummings is looking into whether Jared Kushner leaked classified information to foreign leaders through WhatsApp.
Rep. Cummings wrote that the White House is obstructing investigations into violations of federal recordkeeping laws by members of the Trump administration, “The White House’s failure to provide documents and information is obstructing the Committee’s investigation into allegations of violations of federal records laws by White House officials. The Committee requests that you confirm by March 28, 2019, whether you intend to comply voluntarily with its requests or whether the Committee should consider alternative means to obtain the information it needs to conduct its investigation. … The Committee has jurisdiction over the Presidential Records Act and our oversight over compliance with the law will inform whether additional changes to strengthen the law are necessary.”
Cummings sent this letter to the White House:

The White House’s position is to deny every document and witness request by investigators. The Trump White House is going to turn nothing over, and they are going to the extra mile to protect Trump’s son in law, and national security risk, Jared Kushner. Rep. Cummings wants to know if Jared Kushner has breached national security.
Trump can only delay and protect his son in law for so long. Eventually, Chairman Cummings will issue subpoenas, and he will get the information. It is just a matter of time before Jared Kushner will be facing justice for his potential crimes.
