Adam Schiff has turned the Trump attack on him into a platform to make the case that Trump colluded with the Russians.

Schiff’s response to Republican claims that “The findings of the special counsel’s conclusions refute past or present assertions and it exposed you as having abused your position to knowingly have false information. And undermine that. We have no faith in your ability to discharge your duties consistent with your responsibility and urge your immediate resignation as chairman of the committee.

Rep. Schiff responded with a forceful case for Trump being compromised by the Russians:
I do not think that conduct, criminal or not, is OK. And the day we do think that’s OK is the day we will look back and say that is the day that America lost its way.
And I will tell you one more thing that is apropos of the hearing today: I don’t think it’s OK that during a presidential campaign Mr. Trump sought the Kremlin’s help to consummate a real estate deal in Moscow that would make him a fortune – according to the special counsel, hundreds of millions of dollars. I don’t think it’s OK to conceal it from the public. I don’t think it’s OK that he advocated a new and more favorable policy towards the Russians even as he was seeking the Russians’ help, the Kremlin’s help to make money. I don’t think it’s OK that his attorney lied to our committee. There is a different word for that than collusion, and it’s called ‘compromise.’
Video of Schiff:
While trying to bury the Mueller report, Trump and his allies miscalculated when they attacked Adam Schiff. Trump thought that he could use Barr’s interpretation of the Mueller findings to discredit and get rid of Rep. Schiff. He never thought that by fighting with Schiff he would bring the Russia questions back to the front and center of the news.
Trump thought that he could weaponize the Mueller report, but all he has done is shoot himself in the foot.
