Rep. Meeks responded to Bloomberg report that Deutsche Bank had seen Trump’s tax returns on MSNBC’s The Beat with Ari Melber, ” My reaction has been the Congress along with the ways and means committee, as we know, that our chair there has subpoenaed the IRS for those records. And what we have done on the committee, subpoenaed the banks for those records. If it comes to it, we could subpoena individuals with the bank who have seen the records to come testify.”
Video:
There is too much information in too many places for Donald Trump to be able to keep it all hidden. The power of the presidency is immense, but Trump can’t stop witnesses from testifying about what they saw in his tax returns. The president is scared because Deutsche Bank is complying with subpoenas. Congress will eventually get Trump’s tax returns. The efforts to get the tax returns are too vast to be stopped. Someone is going to get Trump’s tax returns to Congress, and when they do, those Deutsche Bank witnesses will be able to testify to the potential fraud and crimes of Donald Trump.
