After losing his case to keep his financial records secret, Trump appealed the decision to the circuit court headed by Merrick Garland.

Jay Sekulow, one of the president’s personal attorneys, said: “We will be filing a timely notice of appeal to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.”
Merrick Garland is a professional, which is what will make him a great Supreme Court pick once again:
Monday’s ruling was the first legal wrecking ball taken to Trump’s doomed strategy. To call the defense mounted by Trump flimsy would be an insult to flimsy items everywhere. Trump’s big plan to drag out investigative requests through the court system has one large and fatal flaw. Trump doesn’t have a legal leg to stand on. His defense isn’t compelling or serious.
The court of appeals is going to shoot Trump down, and his accounting firm will be forced to turn over his financial records to Congress.
In a juicy bit of karma, it will be Merrick Garland’s court that sends Trump to defeat.
