A Breitbart host confronted former Vice President Joe Biden in Iowa on Thursday, and the Democratic front-runner tore him apart.
The interaction came at the Iowa State Fair when Joel Pollak, a host for Breitbart, tried to defend Donald Trump’s infamous comments that there were “very fine people” chanting racist bile during a 2017 demonstration in Charlottesville.
“Mr. Vice President, are you aware that you’re misquoting Donald Trump in Charlottesville?” Pollak said.
Biden had no patience for anyone defending Trump’s disgusting response to the hate in Charlottesville.
“He walked out and he said – let’s get this straight – he said there were ‘very fine people’ in both groups,” the former VP said.

Biden’s full response:
He called all those folks that walked out of that … they were neo-Nazis shouting hate, their veins bulging. … He walked out and he said – let’s get this straight – he said there were ‘very fine people’ in both groups. They’re chanting anti-Semitic slogans, carrying flags.
Joe Biden has been consistent since the day he officially kicked off his presidential campaign in Philadelphia: He is fighting for the soul of America.
But that fight doesn’t just mean calling out Donald Trump and the bigotry that he regularly spews to stir up his base. It also means confronting those who defend the hate and racism that Trump perpetuates.
As Biden said this week in a soaring speech in Iowa, “Our president has aligned himself with the darkest forces in this nation. And that makes winning this battle – for the soul of our nation – that much harder.”
It also makes winning this battle that much more important in 2020.
