No Kings is a non-partisan organization with the goal of protecting democracy and making sure that the American people have a voice in how they are governed. The stated goal of Saturday’s No Kings protest is to register the largest single day of early voting in US history.

No Kings already holds several spots in the top five largest single-day protests in US history, including being the biggest single-day protest against a president, but Saturday has a different goal.
The October events are about turning public protest into votes.
Not everyone can physically participate in a No Kings event. No Kings is open to people of all political beliefs who are willing to speak out to protect democracy.
One of the expected millions of voices was a 100-year old woman named Esther who came out to protest just miles from where Donald Trump was hiding out at his private Mar-a-Lago club.
Esther was interviewed on MS NOW, where she said:
I am here today because I wanna make sure that our voters, the Democrats, Democrats vote yes on everyone. And I am h- never have had a problem with our voting and getting our president elected except when George Bush was, and they stole, stole the election from Gore.
That bothered me, but you probably don't know why. But we had a butterfly ballot which got screwed up, and nobody voted correctly. It was a shame. But I'm here to protect my country, and I've been living here for 100 years. And boy, a lot have changed, but I've seen it all.

For an entire generation of voters, the 2000 election and the phrase “hanging chad” left a scar that is remembered every November. The Bush/Gore election taught America that elections can be tampered with by partisan actors, and they have to be safeguarded by the people, so I don’t fault Esther for being motivated and still angry about 2000, because a lot of people share her feelings.
If a woman who was a teenager when FDR was president can speak out for democracy, there is no reason why everyone else can’t follow her lead.
Be an Esther, not a Donald.
Use your vote to protect democracy.
