Democrats should use every platform available to show the American people how Republicans are abandoning them.

Jenny Lu Abney's avatar

Schumer is a wall in the way of Democrats.

BS Detector's avatar

Always a complainer. Schumer is NOT the problem. Republicans are.

Jenny Lu Abney's avatar

Name call much. Not good if on the same side. Well never good. In my opinion he failed America by siding with MAGATTs on the temp budget and wrote some “strong letters “ anything else? I want to see him fighting, but don't.

Can they video it and show their live stream town halls to show their representatives going against their interests of the ones the represent

JosieHope's avatar

Right. Every newspaper, tv, and social media platform. Then contact your representatives.

Judy's avatar

I wish they could get their messaging together, like solidly together!

BS Detector's avatar

'Solidly'? Show us how.

Republicans voted against every family friendly amendment.

Republicans are the problem.

This will be a very strong message in 2026.

Judy's avatar

I refer to Dem, because maga are a lost cause, maybe one or two, will find a spine….but perhaps but.

Have you called your senators and reps? Cheers!

We citizens need to do that as well.

Republicans are too F’ing afraid to stand up to Trump. It is not the wealthy that need help. If the Billionaires cannot afford their taxes, then they need to get a grip and figure it out. Walking on the backs of average people so the poor Billionaires can afford their taxes is not the answer.

Donna Sinn's avatar

And we should remember that many billionaires often shirk their tax responsibilities and do not pay either part or all their taxes AND with cuts to IRS with a focus on cutting the auditors and investigators they will not be caught and forced to pay taxes and penalties. This cuts government income because that taxes and penalties were income for the government.

Darlene Poer's avatar

New York Times: Trump could owe more than $100 million in taxes as a result of IRS inquiry. Trump never pays his taxes. If a billionaire cannot afford thier taxes, they don’t know how to manage their money.

Kat'sLife's avatar

It doesn’t appear that he needs to; no one is going after him.

He's just a felon in a fancy suit. I don't understand why they are afraid. And if he has something on them, they need to suck it up and out themselves. This has gone on way too long and since day one it's gone too far.

VFW's avatar

We must remember that billionaires were paying the taxes alone in the beginning!

Yes document everything the republicans voted and supported to the people!!!

Jenny Lu Abney's avatar

The Republicans are making bank also, they are the Corporation Party, bought and paid for, just like Schumer.

BS Detector's avatar

Schumer is NOT the friggin' problem here.

You maybe, for sliming a Dem leader without evidence. (look up the word evidence)

Republicans for sure.

Jenny Lu Abney's avatar

Sucked in by a troll, huh? Got me.

Jenny Lu Abney's avatar

And if you want to tell me I'm stupid, you might look that up. Thanks for causing dissent on our own team. A leader should lead. AOC. Crockett. Booker. Quite a few are out there fighting for the People.

Jenny Lu Abney's avatar

How much is he making to take sides with MAGATTs on the temporary budget? Where is he in fighting for Americans? Hardly hear from him. But, name calling, really, can you please grow up and remember we are supposed to be on the same team. I don't like Schumer and I don't think he's fighting for the People. There are leaders in the Democratic Party, but to me, he isn't one of them.

Cindy Scott's avatar

I’ve come to believe that the majority are voting in lockstep because they think that will let them keep their rich jobs and benefits. Uh yeah no.

Peter. I had a nice moment! I hate what is going on here! I can’t wait until the next election.

Democrats are being vilified for doing nothing. This is doing something. Now they need to follow through and get the message out, expose the GOP’s betrayal of the working Americans they claim to be championing. Expose the GOP’s allegiance to billionaires, their greed, hypocrisy and rank corruption.

BS Detector's avatar

IKR. Why vilify the party NOT in power for being powerless.

Remember Republicans are indeed the problem.

Elizabeth Cab's avatar

Every single effort counts! They will eventually add up to help topple this fascist regime.

Brenda Doherty's avatar

Time to spend money creating political ads highlighting the no votes of Republicans in contested districts. Never too early!

John's avatar

I think every elected Democrat should be pounding every corner of social media telling the people what Republicans are doing. Tell them that the Republicans don't give a damn about the average American citizen, and only care about using the MAGA base and other Republican voters to help the wealthiest get richer, with next to nothing in place for the middle class, lower middle class and the poor.

Terry Baucom's avatar

Never vote republican again they are against the majority of Americans! Voting only for their rich cronies!

Aunt Caffy's avatar

It’s a great idea to have them on record, especially for Nuremberg trials that I hope occur once this regime is toppled.

This is extremely important. These cowardly Republicans cannot be allowed to continue to hide their true allegiance from their constituents. They need to be held accountable. They must feel more pressure from constituents than they feel from the executive branch and Elon Musk. It's not just about what the congressional lawmakers can do to protect or hurt us, it's what we must do to protect us. We elected them. They are one of the 3 branches of power and their first allegiance is supposed to be with us, not the ultra rich. We MUST know where each and every one of them stands and in the end, we must hold them accountable. The democrats forced them to take a stand on provisions that would help us in this horrific budget and sadly they threw us under the proverbial bus. Now it's clearly on record and they cannot hide.

Susan Mraz's avatar

It won’t make a bit of difference. They just don’t care!

CO's avatar

I want them to remove him from office and restore our democracy

Joe C's avatar

Kudos for the Dems. It’s critical to reveal the damage being inflicted, by the Republicans, on their middle class and lower income constituents. Shout it out! Make it so evident that it cannot be ignored.

Deirdre Doran's avatar

Keep fighting for us. Thank you! We’re in the streets. Signing petitions. Making phone calls. Raising money for Dems. Keep it up and we will too!!

Aaron Rubin's avatar

House Republicans are pond scum and the Democrats should destroy them all in 2026. To paraphrase for the constituents of these spineless treasonous bloodsuckers, former Evangelical Frank Schaefer’s statement: “Is that “pro-life enough for you?” They are all going to burn in Hell, especially those who hypocritically profess their Christianity; because nothing says being a good Christian like declaring war on the poor, the disabled, the elderly, and the vulnerable. I would remind those who have prostituted their souls what Jesus said: “It is easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter Heaven.”

DanTheGalaxyMan's avatar

Every damn democrat should go public in the media and online to call attention to all their proposed amendments that were ignored by the Republicans

Lucy Horton's avatar

The problem is that most people don’t know how legislation is formed and passed. Nor do they care. Good luck trying to explain to the average voter what is going on in the House. Or the Senate.
