Iowa state Rep. J.D. Scholten announced that he will be challenging Sen. Joni Ernst (R) for her Senate seat in part due to her snarky and disrespectful comments about Medicaid cuts.
Hopefully Iowa residents don't just accept her opinion that they should be quiet and die. Republicans have been conditioned to take a lot of abuse without complaining recently.

Obviously she was trying to please Trump, but in doing so she has signed her demise as Iowa's state Senator. Her words were so insulting, and so uncaring.
Such a cold and condescending attitude towards the people who elected congresswoman Ernst to serve them should tell the voters what to do. We shall see, but I’m hoping the tooth fairy gets a chance to have her say.🧚🏻♀️🇺🇸

As a Texas resident I can't vote for Rep. Scholten but I can damn sure donate to his candidacy. As a realist, though, I realize he's facing long odds. GOP voters care nothing about decency, empathy, honesty or integrity in their elected representatives. We just reelected a senator who headed for the Caribbean while 700 of his constituents froze to death. Cowardice is another trait that doesn't bother GOP voters either.
Nevertheless, as an American who loves his Country I realize that you never give up. And I'll continue to donate to Democrat candidates wherever they run for office.
