It's NOT what's in a NAME.....it's what's in THE SUBSTANCE.

The substance has been lacking on all cable news for a while now. You can probably count the number of informative shows on cable news on one hand.---Jason

Love MSNBC and not so much NBC! I will watch the new MS and not NBC. I am done with networks who march to the wishes of billionaires and not what the people want to see!

Now matter what MSNBC uses as its new name and logo - l’m sticking with them because l value their on news staff and pundits to evaluate the news and not be a propaganda network for Fox Noise.

The name "MS NOW" provides continuity with the older, well-known name of MSNBC. I feel this is preferable to starting a new name with which few will be familiar. Name recognition is important.

Will Chris Hayes, Jen Psaki, Nicolle Wallace still be there? If so, I'll still be watching. A rose by any other name...

I don't have a problem with it. I expect the same kind of reporting.

As long as content is factual, honest and follows best practices of journalism and opinions identified as such,

I think it's great. I remember when I thought that MSNBC was a dumb name.

I can only hope that what is under the hood is as good or better than what came before.

I am not going to watch it anyway, unless, it is objective, honest, and staffed by diligent reporters, researchers, and Jen Psaki.

MSNOW is an acronym for "My Source for News OPINION and the World".

(I did the all-caps on "opinion".)

They have declared most of the content as "opinion".

Lawrence & Rachel never report the news?

Nice try to spin the orphan into a different information category.

Now I fully understand why Lawrence was looking at other opportunities.

I started listening to Rachel on "Air America", which was a long while ago.

I'd be happy to listen to Rachel via podcasts or other outlets.

Lawrence, too.

Who is out as reporter? Who is in? That’s the question. And the direction?

Basically, the whole news division, so anybody who does reports from a location on an MSNBC show won't be on there anymore, and Kornacki is becoming NBC property too.---Jason

I've virtually stopped. I hate Mika and Joe now. Rachel is gone. The best person left is Lawrence ODonnell. My news 90% comes from Substack.

Rachel Maddow is definitely not gone. She still has her show on Mondays only at 9 p.m.

She is barely there. One day a week. She's on her way out. They had to negotiate pretty heavily to get her to do another contract. She keeps saying she's about done in any interview she does. Probably after her current deal ends, I expect her to be finished with TV.--Jason

They were abandoned by NBC - ¿Would you stop loving a puppy, or a child who have been abandoned? ¿Would you call them stupid for being abandoned? ¿Would you refuse them entrance to your home??

I think this was meant to be a joke, and it is pretty funny. Puppies and kids are way cuter than MSNBC, and they don't charge a fee to my provider that I have to pay for each month.---Jason

Anything to save independent news, like MS owned PBS. I do not watch regular TV anymore, since Trump first time in office. I do not need sycophants and commercial interests to tun things anymore. Regular TV is dead.

I continue to watch some cooking and gardening shows, but about 90% of the time, my TV remains a large black rectangle.

There are too many books to read to watch TV, most of the time.

I usually listen to/watch Rachel and Lawrence, on my tablet.

I'm getting as tired of MSNBC as the rest of social media - like the rest, they seek "engagement" and the way to do that is keep people upset. Yes, there's a lot to be upset about (if you aren't upset, what planet do you live on?), but there's a way to inform people so they can understand it, and there's a way to just keep everybody upset. Like the rest of cable snooze, they're going for the latter. I have dropped watching half the shows, since they repeat each other.

I watch Rachel Maddow on Monday’s and Lawrence O’Donnell M-Thursdays (he’s off most Fridays)

I love Nicole Wallace-I watch less often as I live in California and she’s on at 1pm-the middle of the day-not opportune for me!!!

Otherwise it’s Substack for me!!
