The Trump facade is crumbling as evidence has surfaced that Donald Trump doesn’t really believe what he is saying. In a 2008 blog post, Donald Trump endorsed Clinton by saying that she would be a great president or vice president.
Buzzfeed uncovered the 2008 blog post written by Trump where he endorsed Clinton for president or vice president. In a post published on March 13, 2008, Trump wrote, “Hillary Clinton said she’d consider naming Barack Obama as her vice-president when she gets the nomination, but she’s nowhere near a shoo-in,” wrote The Donald about the heated Democratic primary in 2008. “For his part, Obama said he’s just focused on winning the nomination, although at least one member of his team said Clinton would make a good vice-president. (I know Hillary, and I think she’d make a great president or vice-president.)”
Less than eight years ago, Donald Trump believed that Hillary Clinton would be a great president. Now, he is running a campaign where he claims that she would ruin the country.
Who is the real Donald Trump?
The answer is that Trump is an opportunist who views the world in business terms. Trump’s positions shift and change depending on the objective that he is trying to meet. Donald Trump saw a vulnerability in the market for Republican presidential candidates. He correctly diagnosed what product Republican primary voters were seeking, and he is giving it to them.
As far as his real positions are concerned, they don’t exist. The evidence suggests that Trump is valueless. He holds no core positions or principles. The reason Republicans haven’t been able to nail him down and define him is because Donald Trump only cares about winning. He will do, say, or be whatever it takes to win.
Like Ted Cruz, Trump only believes what he is saying in the moment that he says it. Trump is unfit for the presidency. He a charlatan who is pulling the long con on Republican voters.
Donald Trump is destined to lose in spectacular fashion. Trump will lose in a general election matchup against Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders.
Trump is fooling Republican primary voters, but he will be easy pickings for the Democratic nominee.
