Religious Right Still Pointing Fingers at ISIS While Domestic Terrorists Commit the Crimes

You have to believe people like Jim “Satan Using Fire Alarms To Silence Me” Bakker (paranoia much?) don’t realize what they are saying when they open their mouths. I’m not talking just about their complete ignorance of the contents of their Bible, but of logical consequences.

If, as Jim Bakker said Monday on The Jim Bakker Show, the extreme weather patterns experienced recently by the United States is the ‘spirit of ISIS’ then that means a bunch of terrorists have more power than his god. After all, Bakker’s kind of Christians are suffering just as much as so-called ‘godless’ people when bad weather strikes.

What use is a god who can’t or won’t protect you from mere people?

His reasoning is wishy washy to say the least. He claimed people need to “wake up” and realize all this crazy weather is a “warning from God.”

Wait! Is it the Islamic State or is it God? Or is God on the side of the Islamic State, or is he just doing their bidding?

It really sounds like plain crazy talk more than anything else, the ramblings of a Jim who hit the Jim Beam one time too many:

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were “out of the barn” and “The white horse of the Antichrist spirit, the ISIS spirit, it’s there but we don’t know it!”

Well, and it’s no wonder given as fellow whack-job Theodore Shoebat says “ISIS are a bunch of homosexual, anti-Christian murderers. They are the purest form of the homosexual agenda, and they are just as evil and anti-Christian, as the reprobate sodomites in the West.”

Because being gay, Shoebat insists, is “part of the Islamic social contract.” Well hell, if I were God, I’d be killing Americans too because a bunch of terrorists in Iraq and Syria are homosexuals. Am I right?

Wait…

Yeah, they don’t put a lot of thought into this, do they?

Co-host Rick Wiles, who has nothing on Bakker where crazy-talk is concerned, chimed in with,

“And that Antichrist spirit is not only the ISIS spirit and the Islamic radicals. But it’s the God haters in society that are coming out of the closet and openly saying they detest Jesus Christ, they hate Christianity.”

So wait…if we hate Christianity and Jesus, God punishes everyone else by sending deadly storms their way? What kind of god are you worshiping son?

Let’s just mention here that Bakker and Wiles got all their doomsday prophecies wrong for September 2015, so let’s take that into account.

But don’t let being catastrophically wrong get you down Rick: Undeterred by being wrong about literally everything, he got crazier:

“And you notice how the political left is silent as ISIS decapitates Christians [he must not have noticed all those Muslims being decapitated]. The political left is saying nothing in defense of the Christians who are being slaughtered because their spirit is in harmony with what’s being done.”

Rick Wiles did get one prophecy sorta right recently, saying that “certain elements of the U.S. government that will be on the side of the jihadists.” And they are! Look at how many Republicans side with the Bundy-ISIS terrorists in Oregon!

So, there is that. Kinda sorta.

This deplorable excursion into insanity was all part of Jim Bakker’s “World in Turmoil” series. Certainly mental turmoil. When Bakker finally concluded (probably when he ran out of BS to spew) that the situation was “beyond comprehension,” he wasn’t wrong. These guys are off the rails and beyond comprehension is putting it lightly.
