Hillary Clinton Gives Epic Response To Donald Trump’s Campaign Shake-Up

At a campaign event in Cleveland today, Hillary Clinton gave an epic response to Donald Trump’s recently-announced campaign shake-up.

In the speech, the Democratic nominee scoffed at the idea that hiring new people would change Trump’s behavior, saying in a reference to a Maya Angelou quote, “When someone shows you who they are, believe them.”

The Democratic nominee said:

There are just 83 days left in this election … and for anyone waiting for Donald Trump to suddenly become more responsible, remember what a great American, Maya Angelou, said, “When someone shows you who they are, believe them.” I think it’s fair to say that Donald Trump has shown us who he is. He can hire and fire anybody he wants from his campaign. They can make him read new words from a teleprompter, but he is still the same man who insults Gold Star families, demeans women, mocks people with disabilities, and thinks he knows more about ISIS than our generals … There is no new Donald Trump – this is it.

Clinton also told the crowd to convince their friends not to vote for the spray-tanned Republican nominee.

“I hope you will talk to any of your friends who are flirting with the idea of voting for Donald Trump,” Clinton said. “Friends don’t let friends vote for Trump.”

But Clinton wasn’t done taking shots at the Trump campaign’s desperate attempt to turn things around.

On Twitter, the Democratic nominee spent much of the day slamming the staff shake-up, specifically newly-minted Trump chief executive Steve Bannon, who is the executive chairman of conservative Breitbart News.

In another tweet, Clinton wrote, “Trump boasts the support of some of the most extreme voices in politics. Now one of them runs his campaign.”

As Donald Trump rearranges the deck chairs on the sinking ship of his presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton appears to be having a good time.
