After admitting that his communications staff couldn’t keep up, Trump came up with the solution of replacing the daily briefing with himself. The President said, “We just don’t have them, and we do….unless I have them every two weeks and I do them myself. We don’t have them.”
Trump’s rationale in the clip above disproves all of the stories mostly from the left about how Trump isn’t really in charge. The truth about Trump is that he is a micromanager who believes that no one can do the job better than he can do it himself.
The United States of America needs to have daily press briefings from the White House. The world moves too quickly for press briefings to be limited to Trump showing up once every couple of weeks. The idea of replacing the daily briefing with a couple of monthly press conferences is nuts.
If Trump went down this road, his White House would be unable to respond to any crisis or situation. There would be no one out there speaking for the White House if Trump canceled the daily briefing
The problem isn’t briefing schedule, or even the White House staff. The problem is that Trump’s message changes by the minute, and continues to try to govern through Twitter.
The reason why this White House is failing is named Donald Trump.
