Paul Ryan Gives The Most Stomach Turning Spineless Answer You’ll Ever Hear On Trump

When asked about Trump’s attacks on his own attorney general, Jeff Sessions, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan took the totally spineless way out by saying that who is in his administration is up to the president.

Ryan said, “Look, the president gets to decide what his personnel is. You all know that. He’s the Executive Branch. We’re the Legislative Branch. He determines who is hired and fired in the Executive, that’s his prerogative. If has concerns, questions, or problems with the Attorney General, I’m sure he’ll bring them up with him.”

Keep in mind that what was being discussed is a president who is attacking his own Attorney General because the AG recused himself from an investigation centered on whether Trump’s presidential campaign colluded with Russia. The question here isn’t who has the power to hire and fire in the Executive Branch. The President is trying to get rid of the Attorney General, so that he can appoint someone else to derail the FBI’s investigation into him, his family, his business dealings, and his presidential campaign.

Ryan’s answer was spineless because he is never going to stand up to Trump and acknowledge the Russia scandal. Speaker Ryan sold his country out to the Russians by putting his desire to enact his agenda ahead of the country.

Paul Ryan is enabling Trump by pretending like the Russia scandal doesn’t exist. With each spineless answer, Ryan is destroying a personal political brand that took years to build and revealing himself to be nothing more than a partisan toady for Trump.
