Sarah Huckabee Sanders was reduced to talked point babble as a reporter pushed her on the chaos in Trump’s White House.

Here was the exchange between ABC’s Cecilia Vega and Sanders:

Vega: So far this year six top white house staffers have resigned. The president says there are more names to come. Why are so many people leaving this administration?

Sanders: Look, this administration has had a historic first year. We’re going to continue to do great things. This is an intense place, as is every white house, and it’s not abnormal that you would have people come and go. But we’re continuing to do great work and continuing to focus on the president’s agenda. And that’s what we’re all here to do.

Vega: But actually, It is actually abnormal. This administration has had this much turnover.

Sanders: It’s not abnormal to have turnover.

Vega: If this is not the definition of chaotic, what would you describe what’s happening in these recent weeks.

Sanders: If it was, then I don’t think we would have been able to accomplish what we’ve done. The economy is stronger than its been in ages. ISIS is on the run, the remaking of the judiciary jobs are coming in at record numbers. There are historic things that have taken place in the first year. Sounds like a functioning place of business to me.

The days of the White House daily briefing being a propaganda platform are over

Reporters have increasingly become more challenging to Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. They are showing a willingness to shut down her false talking points, and in the case of the Wednesday briefing correct her with facts. Cable news networks are also cutting away from Trump speeches, and not giving the White House a platform to push their false statements and propaganda.

It took some time for the press to adjust to a White House that lies with such ease, but they have done so, and the result is a press secretary that is increasingly getting called out and a better informed American public.
