Trump Moscow Lie In Shambles as Miss Universe Host Confirms Stay

Sure, we had the flight records and the social media records, but in President Trump’s alternate facts world, we have to gather a mountain of evidence to prove reality is still real. And so The Daily Beast reports in an exclusive that the host of the 2013 Miss Universe pageant confirmed that Trump stayed overnight in Moscow.

Breaking news: Trump lied. Again.

And there is tape, again.

The host, Thomas Roberts, told The Daily Beast on Tuesday that Trump was in Moscow for one full night and at least part of another.

“The first time I met Donald Trump it was in Moscow on November 8th, 2013. I taped a sit-down interview with Trump the next day on November 9th,” Andrew Kirell wrote that the host said. “That was also the date for the Miss Universe broadcast.”

Trump offered the host a seat in his plane for the return flight early the next morning during an after party, which the host did not accept.

The former NBC host would not confirm if he had been interviewed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Trump lied about this to then FBI Director James Comey, who recounted the episode in his memos, saying the Steele Dossier pee-pee tape couldn’t have happened because he had been told by people with whom he was on the trip that he didn’t spend the night in Russia for the 2013 Miss Universe pageant.

But he did. So file this under the Muslims Trump “saw” cheering 9/11 in New Jersey, the millions of “illegals” who voted in the 2016 election, and his “big, big” inaugural crowds. That is to say, file this under more Trump lies.

Trump claimed that he never stayed in Moscow during the 2013 Miss Universe pageant, but a Bloomberg report showed his plane landed in Moscow on Friday, and didn’t leave until Sunday night. “The Bloomberg report has the minute by minute flight records, which match up with Trump’s social media posts to prove that his story about not having spent the night in Moscow at all during the trip is a lie.”

This does not prove the pee-pee allegations in the Steele Dossier, but it does prove that Donald Trump’s defense against the Steele Dossier is a lie.

It does prove that Donald Trump boldly lied to the head of the FBI about something that could be easily disproven, because there is tape, there are plane logs, and there were people there with whom he spent time.

What the exposure of this lie gets to is that Donald Trump thinks he can just make things up and that is how they will be taken by everyone, including law enforcement. This kind of privilege is not foreign to the children of wealthy people, but it is not going to weather the sunshine and scrutiny of the presidency well.
