Speaker Pelosi told the country that rich guy Trump doesn’t understand economic insecurity and thinks that government workers can just ask their fathers for more money.

Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) said:

Our meeting did not last long. But it is so sad that in a matter of hours, or just a few days, many people, federal workers, will not be receiving their paychecks and what that means in their live social security tragic in terms of their credit rating, paying their mortgage, their car payment, all of that. The president thinks maybe they could just ask their father for more money, but they can’t.

But they can’t, and we think that the collateral damage that he is causing by — well, I will yield to the leader to talk about that. I will say this, if you don’t understand economic insecurity, then you would have a policy that takes pride in seeing I’m going to keep the government shut down for months or years unless you totally agree to my position.

Speaker Pelosi is exposing Trump

One of the successful political points that Speaker Pelosi has been able to make is that Trump doesn’t care about the government workers who are suffering during this shutdown. When Vice President was asked about the workers who are suffering, he immediately changed the subject to the fake crisis on the border. Pelosi has been masterful at accurately painting Trump as someone who doesn’t understand and doesn’t care about the economic damage that his positions are doing to people.

Trump is getting his wall, but his big fraud of selling himself as a blue-collar billionaire who cares about working people is being exposed. Workers in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania are seeing Trump for who he really is, and a big part of the reason why is the spine of steel House leadership of Nancy Pelosi.
