House Intelligence Committee ranking member Devin Nunes repeated Russian talking points in his opening statement of Tuesday’s Trump impeachment hearing.
Nunes repeated word for word the Russian conspiracy theory that it was actually Ukraine, not Russia, who interfered in the 2016 election. Nunes said that Ukraine worked with Democrats to interfere in the 2016 election against Trump.

CNN national security correspondent, Jim Sciutto flagged Nunes’s comments as Russian talking points:
This is an absurd conspiracy theory that Putin and Russia have been pushing as a cover story to advance their war on Ukraine while covering their 2016 crimes to help Trump.
The country has reached the point in the impeachment process where high ranking congressional Republicans are repeating Russian talking points on national television to protect their president. The Republican Party has never made it more clear that they have sold out their country and are now the property of Putin.
