The body language says it all. Canada is in good hands with Carney. America is in a constitutional crisis. I am a flaming liberal who gets into the trenches of activism everywhere and I am thrilled with our dear neighbors to our north who are graciously taking America to the wood shed. Also loving my Canadian Whiskey🥃. Let’s toast to Carney, Canada, and the revolution in America that will result in the end of the Nazi GOP Regime.

I find it interesting that Trump is willing to get rid of the “imaginary line“ with white Canadians. But when it comes to the imaginary lines for brown people who truly do want to make their lives better he imprisons them for even thinking of crossing that line.

All the things that Trump said he would provide for Canada RBS he’s cutting the military in this country, we don’t have universal healthcare like Canada does, and he doesn’t have the power to do anything he wants to do regarding buying another country. He’s an idiot.

Carney was so quick on the draw, and so smooth, that his elbow was up, made contact, and was back at his side, all before it had a chance to wrinkle his suit.

Well played Mr. Prime Minister. 👏🏻🇨🇦

I imagine Orangy was so upset, especially since this was broadcast and will be on the news for days, not to mention comedians are going to have a field day. Can't wait for Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel.

Don’t know why he met with Trump at all. Had to listen to Trump ramble on about nonsense while he was allowed to say nothing. Very demeaning.

Our PM met with Mr. Trump because he was expected to do so by Canadians. It was not demeaning. He was respectful towards Mr. Trump because he respects the office of the POTUS. He was clear about the future of Canada as a sovereign nation. He expressed his expectations regarding the topics that would be on the agenda for Canada-US discussions/negotiations.

There were certainly moments when Mr. Carney placed a positive spin on the consequences of Trump's actions (e.g. "the President has revitalized international security and revitalized NATO"), but it was almost possible to sense that is was a bit of dry wit, a tongue in cheek comment.

Bottom line: It was not demeaning. It was a obligatory meeting, a duty that he performed on the behalf of Canadians. He was polite, respectful, and clear.

Silence can be powerful. As usual Trump looked like a bully, and incompetent, self serving clown. Caryn mad him look a foolish child. Brilliant

Every batshit "idea" Trump has is for the benefit of the insane reality-TV show constantly running in his head. Each stupid notion is a new "episode" to him.

Mic drop. If he even had a chance of convincing Canada, Trump lost it when he said better medical care. Our healthcare system has got to be one of the worst on the planet.

Three cheers for Canada.

It’s hard to believe that a U.S. President would say that to Canada’s leader. DT showed himself to be ignorant of history, international diplomacy, and apparently unaware of Canada’s healthcare system while he is hoping to destroy the Affordable Care Act. What a mess he is and dragging us all down with him.
