No Kings organizers say they have seen a surge to over 2,000 protests scheduled with millions expected to attend. The No Kings protest will be exponentially bigger than Trump's military parade.

As someone who grew up in a military household and whose husband is also in the military, I respect our military and all those who serve. Having said that, the idea that Trump is using a military parade for his own self-aggrandizing under the guise of celebrating the Army's 250th anniversary is beneath contempt. I will be one of those millions of Americans who will be at a No Kings protest this weekend. Every American who still believes in the promise of America should be chilled by the fact that a sitting Senator was shoved to the ground, arms wrenched behind his back and handcuffed for asking a question of the Secretary of Homeland Security. This is America, not Russia or North Korea or Nazi Germany. Stand up, speak out, and defend our Constitution.
The good news is that protesters will not, I hope, show up in D.C. I am sure Trump hopes they will, so he can have his goons arrest them. The really BIG good news is that thunderstorms are forecast on Saturday, to start at 6:30 pm--just as the birthday parade is starting. Spectators are being urged to gather in a place with shelter nearby, since there is predicted to be lightning. A "light" show from on high for our demented Birthday Boy.
This is great stuff...even the unbelievably stupid mainstream media will have to take note of this.
It will be amusing to see the "reasoning" by which FOX trashes these demonstrations, and the sheer nonsense Axis Sally will spout over this.

The Army in DC announed that while rain won't stop the parade ("tanks don't melt"), the forecast for thunderstorms includes lightning and that wuld stop the parade because of "danger to the audience." So when you do your raindance tonight for TACO, pray extra hard for lightning.
I will not watch this parade on TV I refuse to watch because Donald Trump avoided the military with phony bone spurs. It’s very sad the number of military personal that paid the ultimate sacrifice to maintain our rule of law and a free democracy. Many of them were my friends who I graduated High School back in 1965. I was very lucky but I put my 4 years in the service of my country.
