Rep Raskin is a huge asset in our fight for democracy. But he lessens the force he could have when he calls the DC takeover a distraction. IT IS NOT A MERE DISTRACTION. It is far more of a threat to democracy than whether ther Epstein files are released. Let's keep focused on the threats to democracy.
Trump was desperately hoping that the Epstein scandal would go away. Alas, it is still here and always quoted in the newspapers. Trump, a master in creating distractions, uses an alleged safety crisis in the capital as justification to take over law enforcement in DC.
It's not a question of how long we can wait. It's a question of how soon we can bring about his downfall. As far as his disastrous decisions in between, we'd do well to take a page from Project 2025 and prepare to hit the ground running with Project 2026 - to follow up on the Blue Tsunami.
