Will mainstream media report these findings daily? They sure damaged the Biden administration with daily reports of how expensive everything was from eggs to rent. We'll see if they report it as the Republicans spin the narrative every day.

They are all in the Epstein files.

Don’t hold your breath thinking mainstream media would consider impartial reporting rather than blatantly conservative.

Fox Entertainment latest ownership manoeuvres leaves Lachlan Murdoch in control to follow his father Rupert’s ultra right wing mantra.

Truth is not a big seller and business is always about more profit.

Chaos, conspiracy, speculation, misinformation, distrust and scandal is the sizzle that mainstream sells to its market.

It never lets truth get in the way of a big story.

Larry's avatar

Lies spread faster then truth on the internet and blood sells.

Larry's avatar

Not going to happen the fix was in last year. Occam's Razor says the "mainstream media" wants a dictatorship in America; it's good for ratings.

I think - and fervently hope - that Pres. Stupido will go to hell. I don't mean that figuratively either. I mean literally go to hell and sit alongside Rush and Epstein - sooner rather than later!

Larry's avatar

Hope doesn't work anymore.

This study just proves, again, that "trickle down" economics don't work. It's a failure and always will be. The majority of the 1% are greedy and always want more, even though they don't need more.

Larry's avatar

Trickle down voodoo economics was always going to fail for the poor and middle class; Bush Senior predicted it. We all saw the billionaire bullshit artists behind the tRumpervert at the inauguration. Like Grandpa used to say, "you elect millionaires, you get robbed."

Ramon Biera's avatar

Corporate America has been doing this to us for the longest time, not giving the employees the wages they deserve. No matter who is in office, the President or Congress, we need the unions. We've been living paycheck to paycheck for the longest time.

Larry's avatar

Since Lee Atwater and Ronnie; its the same bullshit.

Milton Findley's avatar

We already know that if we have purchased anything lately. Our purchasing power is evaporating from the tariffs and our continuing need to eat.

Larry's avatar

Oh, but don't you have any cake?

Bruce Hlodnicki's avatar

Of course, Trump steals from everyone else to give to the wealthiest Americans... And then there are his moronic tariffs!

I hope the courts make him end them and pay us all back!

Frank's avatar

How are they going to calculate the financial effect of the tariffs on American consumers? Did you save all your receipts? Or do they give every adult a pittance?

Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent keeps claiming the money has to be returned to foreign governments. I don’t know if he’s that stupid or just trying to humor Trump.

Larry's avatar

Hope isn't going to cut it.

Karen's avatar

Who’s getting fired next for publishing this report?

Frank's avatar

Nobody. The Center for American Progress is a progressive think tank and not part of the government. Republicans will do what they always do and that is lie to the American people about the effects of their legislation. I’m sure the Heritage Foundation has already published several papers refuting CAP’s calculations.

Trickle down didn’t work in the 80’s and sure as hell isn’t going to work now.

Larry's avatar

It was NEVER meant to help the masses, that is why it was call VOODOO ECONOMICS.

Bryan's avatar

Same old, tired "voodoo economics" that Papa Bush railed about and that Republicans have been able to snooker less informed voters to their side. Trickle-down has done NOTHING but widen the wealth gap between the haves and the have-nots. It's part of the Project 2025 plan to Make Americans Needy Again.

This was actually foreshadowed by CAP in a July 2024 article.

Sadly, the Democratic Party has not been very good at messaging that would change this perception. Yes, both former presidents Clinton and Obama talked about this during the 2024 campaign, but that isn't nearly enough. When asked who would be better for the economy, people still pick Republicans. It's maddening!

Nancy L. Hoffmann's avatar

Yes. It started with Reagan: 1984, predictably.

Larry's avatar

Bingo! Oh, the "messaging" goes way back to the 3/5ths compromise. Remember...

"If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you." Lyndon Johnson

Is #MAGA ok with #DonaldJTrump getting us into a war. Looks like #WWIII is on the horizon with #russiasttackspoland with a drone. #putin wants trump and trump himself to stay in office regardless of what may come. #DonaldJTrumpgetsUSintoWorldWarIIi

Frank's avatar

There’s also the chance he declares war on Venezuela. Killing 11 civilians on a boat not even headed toward American waters is a war crime.

Larry's avatar

Only if there is accountability. tRumpervert has immunity. He CAN rape or kill someone and John Roberts is OK with that.

Larry's avatar

Yes. It makes sense since all the rich bastards have built bunkers in places like New Zealand to "ride it out." Maga calls it "The Rapture."

Gwenny's avatar

And 3 miles from the Whitehouse are bunkers, that Mark Zuckerburg has built, also in Hawaii!!! And a few other have built them too, a few miles from the Whitehouse! That's why Trumpy is Claiming DC right now!!@ Militarizing DC!!

Trena Barnett's avatar

Creep. And release the files. Don’t care who’s there, don’t care about worldwide ramifications. Release the files. We’ll start from scratch if that’s what it takes! Dam, think of the girls being raped and taped to use for bribery and coercion

Larry's avatar

His first wife, Ivana, (from the old Czech Soviet Republic) said he raped her in a book. He raped E. Jean Carroll and was buddy buddy with Maxwell and Epstein. But, the "voters" looked the other way because of promises he made in the dark about cheap eggs and groceries; and because of the "Black Woman" too.

Gwenny's avatar

Thank you for your Teriffs Dobald! The American people lose! Groceries and utilities are all higher than they were a year ago!@! But, Blame Biden! Or better yet, Blame Obama! Yeah, he's better to blame because he is Black!!

Larry's avatar

When crooks rob someone, they always blame it on someone else.

Edward Hauck's avatar

Amazed that the Republicans in congress are still blind to this tariff charade.

Larry's avatar

They are in on it somehow to make a buck.

I’m am fortunate that the loss will just piss me off, not cause me to be hungry or loose my home.

Now what happens to Medicare for us, and Medicaid for our medically fragile ward is a different concern!
