The republicans have dug their own graves. Thoughts and prayers morons !!

What DECADES of HISTORY have shown us ALL...

THAT IS what ALWAYS happens when you put trump in charge!!

ALL those years of the GOP saying we should put a businessman in as president and run the company as a business was bullshit then, and is STILL bullshit NOW!

A business ONLY defers to its chairman of the board, trump ,and it's board members...which means the rich oligarchs!!

It's certainly doesn't defer to We The People!

The GOP FINALLY got what it wanted ALL these years...AND was sold a line of goods by the con man, trump.

Because trump is NOT a team player AT ALL...and trump has NO LOYALTY to ANYONE ELSE EVER.

trump WILL go DOWN and take maga trumpism with him!

It's going a matter of time now...

Tick Tock Tick Tock Tick Tock 💣🤯

Maybe the government should be a service for the people not a business that makes a profit for those in charge.

Sky Blue's avatar

Absolutely, Judy D!

A government does not need to be run like a business!

ZooKpr's avatar

The United States government is not a business though many think it should be run as such.

President Coolidge said "After all, the chief business of the American people is business." He was a Republicunt of course.

ZooKpr's avatar

Is it business - buying or selling goods and services for profit or.. busyness? 😄

If he had been a bona fide successful businessman, it mightn’t have been as bad as it is. But government is not a business. Running one like a business is a failure at start.

Remember that businessman Trump has had multiple company bankruptcies. Practically no one bankrupts a casino.

It's been the same bullshit since Reagan. Tax cuts will unleash the economy. Jobs will be plentiful. All will benefit. The reality: Democratic administration outperform the GOP every damn time. The middle class is gone. The wealthy are not just wealthier, they're obscenely wealthier.

The no tax on SS is a lie anyway.

Brenda Doherty's avatar

The no tax on SS is so limited it’s a joke!

The wolf in sheep’s clothing stepped too far out and finally pulled his own disguise off. Too bad, too sad! We have to 86 the whole sadistic, inhumane rabble of tricksters and slight-of-hand corrupt conmen and women. Show ‘em the door!

That about sums it up. The whole Republican platform is nothing but a house of cards built on a pool of quicksand.

Right on, sister. Abolish the whole rotten party! Traitors, one and all.

William's avatar

Traitors all!! They are the Repugnicans! They deserve the wrath of the people who work hard for America!! May it come to pass! 🙏

We all see how felon 47 runs his businesses always ends in bankruptcy. America is his 7th bankruptcy.

Trickle-down of tax cuts to the 1% and corporations has NEVER delivered as promised. It was ALWAYS a lie to claim that they would pay for themselves. Only fools ever believed it was going to benefit society as a whole.

Talia Giordano's avatar

It’s stunning that the disproven “trickle down” economic theory from the Reagan era is still being touted by Republicans. C’mon folks, wake the hell up!

Agent of Chaotic Respite's avatar

Exactly. It was a scam from the beginning. Any thinking person (thus, not magat voters) has seen through it from Day One. 😎✌️

Carol Moore's avatar

Agree. I felt it with Reaganomics and it just keeps getting worse.

Thank you for your detailed explanation of what the Republican Party has always been about. They have never cared for the ordinary people in this country. Only those people who are wealthy.

Patricia Poohkay's avatar

Trickle down economics was always, and still is, a giant fraud to transfer wealth to the already ultra-wealthy, thank you very much Reagan for that one.

Every time we put a Republican in charge the deficit goes up and we end up deeper in debt with a far higher interest payment looming on what the US borrows. Then we put in a Democrat and voila, the budget balancing begins. Bill Clinton inherited a budget deficit of $290 billion from Reagan (aren’t those numbers cute???) By the end of his two terms the US had a budget SURPLUS of $237 billion. Obama inherited a deficit of $41 trillion from Bush. By the end of his two terms the deficit was down to $665.4 billion. Biden inherited a deficit of $2.78 trillion from Trump’s first term and, even with COVID relief, got it down to $1.78 trillion. The current national debt, thanks to the big beautiful bill, is $38.97 trillion.

Top down economics doesn’t work.

I’m interested in calling Republicans’ bluff on their tax cut messaging which purports that the ‘average’ tax cut was approximately $4000. The counter argument is what was the ‘median’ tax cut which will show the skew towards higher earners- ‘average’ fails to show the reality.
