It's a bribe. The family of grifters are behind the scene. Kushner behind the scene and Bondi front and center.

Just more of the same. And the same will be done about it by our Congress and judicial system. We are under water in a sea of corruption happening in broad daylight.

This is an escalation and much worse than more of the same. Don't normalize it by lumping it in with the standard Trump corruption.---Jason

1. MSNBC talked about it an hour ago, so it is getting some mileage.

2. I simply cannot accept that ANYONE in the Secret Service, the Intelligence agencies, military, etc. will EVER okay this jet to be used as AF1. The whole point of AF1 is to make certain the president is in constant touch with everyone if there's an emergency. That's why the damn plane costs billions of $$$$. If Congress can't figure it out . . . That plane ain't going anywhere with POS in it.

3. Last I checked, Congress must agree to the president getting ANY gifts from any foreign entity. When the HELL are Rs going to do their jobs?!

1. OK

2. Don't worry they'll spend a couple of $100 million taxpayer dollars to outfit with all the stuff.

3. They aren't.

It will cost more than that to tear the plane apart, make certain it's secure and then install the needed security tech. He'll never fly that plane. Which is precisely the point.

The GOPs, who have held town halls, have gotten an earful from their constituents. Why they still can’t find their own spine, is truly baffling. They took an oath to the constitution. Not the orange idiot.

What kind of blackmail could Trump have on GOP where they would rather let dtump torch the country, than have the world know it their past crime of dirty little secret?

If he gets possession of that plane, he will feel invincible.

Beyond sickening but I am curious how the jet can include all the security, safety and communication measures built into AF 1. I feel conflicted in that I am not sure I care.

Bribery, whether by any other name or not, is criminal and corrupt and should be treated as such. I am sick beyond words with this regime and their corrupt and incompetent behavior, all the while adopting a tone of defiance, of righteous indignation at our criticism and disregard for the rights and interests of the very population that they are entrusted with protecting, defending and promoting. The cognitive dissonance is really more than I can tolerate any more.

“Qatar would never bake surveillance gear somewhere into the 170 miles of wiring in a 747- 8. Would they?”

Being cynical or realistic, depends. Only when miller and the rest of the shadow whisperers are finally, totally neutered will there be the possibility of “justice”. Or for that matter, any sort of the outcry that would usually be involved with prosecuting crimes such as this. I still can’t see Congress doing the right thing any time soon, unless more like Tillis start to stand up. (The idea that he went first is still boggling). Dare I say “hopeful”.

Well one way to look at this reality is to ask WHO OWNS THE MAJOR MEDIA. Another is to call a spade a spade. Cite the law and make him give it back. He'll say that he is immune to the law while he is in office and reference his SCOTUS decision, etc. The entire party has no ethical standards any more, never mind face the legal ones.

Don't worry, as another comment points out, trump will have no problem spending millions and millions of dollars to outfit the "gift jet" appropriately. And, if he doesn't end up being "elected" to a third term, and the jet goes to his presidential library foundation, he will no doubt keep all that communication and protective technology in the jet because, you know, he'll think he still has a right to all of that.

I wonder how all of the existing presidential library foundations have managed to get by without owning a luxury private jet?

Unbelievable and unacceptable corruption in plain (or plane?) sight. How cowardly of the press to tiptoe around it.

So how much money will we have to pay to have the new jet meet the AF1 standards for security and communications b4 it can be used by FOTUS? Will it be ready b4 we vote him and MAGA out of office?

As usual, the media is taking the easy way out and gas lighting the issue. I’m not surprised in the least. It’s just more corruption and you can better believe, Trumpers are not watching any news that states the truth.
