With His Desperation Growing Mitch McConnell Can’t Keep His Story Straight On Ebola

Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) doesn’t know what he thinks about Ebola. He’s gone a bit Etch-A-Sketch Romney, trying to keep up with the various demands of different constituencies, telling the local press exactly what the Republican Party extremist are saying, while telling the national press that we should let the CDC handle it.

McConnell told NBC as reported by the Huffington Post that he thinks we should leave these decisions to the CDC, “‘Gosh, I’d leave that up to the CDC…I think we ought to listen to what the [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] thinks they need either in terms of financing or certainly they’ll decide the procedures for travel and all the renast,’ McConnell told NBC News in an interview. ‘I think we need to follow the advice of the experts who know how to fight scourges like this.'”

On the same day, McConnell told local Kentucky press Pure Politics cn|2 exactly what the Republican Party is selling on Fox News, that it was a good idea to discontinue flights. “I’m not an expert on this, but it strikes me that it would be a good idea to discontinue flights from that part of the world.”

The Republicans have another Etch-A-Sketch, who just can’t find the courage to actually tell the voters what he really thinks. Of course, McConnell is no fool – he knows he has to tell the people what they want to hear if he’s going to keep carrying out the agenda of the top 2%.
