Donald Trump is taking back his expression of regret for hurting people, and admitting that it was all a lie.
Video:
When asked by ABC News if his expression of regret for using painful words was an apology, Trump answered:
A person who is offering a sincere apology doesn’t answer that people will read into it what they will. Trump made it clear that he isn’t apologizing for anything, and that the words he spoke in Charlotte were just another empty promise from his teleprompter.
It is mind boggling that anyone who has been watching Donald Trump throughout the course of this campaign could believe for one second that he is capable of expressing sincere regret. Trump has told some of the most outrageous and easily fact checked lies of any candidate in modern American political history, but when confronted with facts, Trump never apologizes. Donald Trump always doubles down, so why would anyone believe that this same individual is capable of expressing regret over hurting others.
Trump doesn’t care about other people. He couldn’t even stay on the new Donald Trump script for a full day before he admitted that he doesn’t view his comments as an apology.
The only certainty in this presidential election is that Donald Trump will continue to lie, and show zero remorse for the consequences that come with his choices.
