Trump Threatens To Take Healthcare Away From 1 Million Unless Democrats Pay For His Wall

Trump OMB Director Mick Mulvaney is suggesting that Trump will restore the cuts he made to Obamacare subsidies if Democrats agree to use US taxpayer money to pay for his wall with Mexico.

Politico reported, “The administration, however, opened the door to negotiations on the now-canceled payments. After speaking to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Saturday, Trump said that a temporary deal could be struck on shoring up the insurance markets. Mulvaney suggested the insurance payments could be a bargaining chip in a broader negotiation with Congress to either repeal President Barack Obama’s signature health care law — or fund Trump’s long-stalled border wall with Mexico.”

By negotiate, the Trump administration means that they hold the health care of the American people for ransom unless Democrats agree to pay for the border wall. It seems like Democrats have been over this with Trump a million times since January. They aren’t going to pay for his wall. Period. Trump promised voters that Mexico would pay for the wall, and Democrats are going to hold him to that promise. Until Mexico ponies up the cash for the wall, there will be no wall.

Trump thinks that the presidency is The Apprentice and that he has “leverage” over Democrats because of his health care sabotage. What he will never understand is that the American people know who is responsible for their loss of coverage or their premiums going up. They aren’t going to blame Democrats. Trump will be blamed.
