Democrats Will Call On Mueller To Testify If Trump Tries To Bury The Russia Report

If Donald Trump tries to bury Robert Mueller’s final report, Rep. Jerry Nadler says Democrats have two options they plan to use to make the document public.

Nadler, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said they could subpoena the document or call on Robert Mueller to testify before the committee.

“If necessary, we have the power to invite former prosecutor Mueller to testify in front of the committee,” Rep. Nadler said in an interview with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes.

Well, the committee certainly has the power to subpoena the report, and if necessary, we have the power to invite former prosecutor Mueller to testify in front of the committee and ask him about it.

Trump can’t bury the final Mueller report

As the news surrounding the ongoing Russia investigation continues to intensify as more evidence points to collusion between the Kremlin and the Trump campaign, it’s no surprise that Trump would want to bury the final Mueller report.

This week alone, it was reported former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort was handing over internal campaign data to the Russians – and the president knew about it at the time.

In addition to that stunning revelation, more noise has been made about the increasing possibility that Donald Trump Jr. will be indicted.

All of this has reportedly pushed Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani into a full-on panic. According to Vanity Fair, Giuliani has told those around him that he expects the final Mueller report to be “horrific.”

While these are all reasons why Trump may want to conceal the final report, they only underscore how important it is that the public see Mueller’s findings.

With Democrats now in charge of the House of Representatives, Donald Trump is going to find it difficult to hide from Robert Mueller’s report, no matter how damning it is.
