Donald Trump continued to obsess over his fake Hurricane Dorian forecast on Thursday, desperately trying to convince the country that his initial Alabama prediction was actually correct.

MSNBC host Chris Hayes erupted on the president for continuing to fixate on this, even after being fact-checked by the National Weather Service, asking Trump, “What the heck is wrong with you?”
“While Dorian moves along the southeast coast and brings destruction and danger, the most powerful person in the country … is obsessively tweeting about … something that happened last week to make himself look better,” Hayes said.

Hayes said:
While Dorian moves along the southeast coast and brings destruction and danger, the most powerful person in the country, whose job it is to protect Americans, is obsessively tweeting about, talking about in public and apparently in private, doctoring images of something that happened last week to make himself look better. Obsessively, convulsively. I mean, if anyone did what the president is doing in your workplace, in your classroom, in your friend circle, you would say what the heck is wrong with you? What is wrong with you?
For whatever reason, Donald Trump thinks it’s a smart play to openly obsess over an alternative reality in which Hurricane Dorian was for sure going to hit Alabama.
But the more he obsesses over it – and, indeed, he continued to all day Thursday – the more insane and foolish he looks. His attempts to salvage his dwindling credibility are only damaging it more.
There is no question that hurricane forecasts can be complicated and unpredictable. But the last few days have provided the American complete clarity on at least one thing: Donald Trump is completely out of his damn mind.
