To See President Biden's 5 Best Jokes At The White House Correspondents Dinner visit The Daily.
Fox News is not only the Trump endorsed cable news network. Fox is also working with the White House to spread fake news that discredits anti-Trump protests.
Video and transcript via Media Matters:
BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): Do you sense, instead of being organic disruption, do you sense that there is an organized pushback and people are being paid to protest?
SEAN SPICER: Oh, absolutely. Protesting has become a profession now. They have every right to do that, don’t get me wrong. But I think that we need to call it what it is. It’s not these organic uprisings that we have seen through the last several decades. The tea party was a very organic movement. This has become a very paid astroturf-type movement.
Spicer latched on to a myth that has been floating around on conservative media because the right can’t understand why anyone would want to protest their deeply unpopular president who lost the popular vote by 3 million voters to Hillary Clinton.
Fact checkers have already looked into the claims that resistance to Trump is some left-wing funded plot and found them to be totally baseless lies. After Trump gave Fox News his personal endorsement that essentially named them the administration’s cable news mouthpiece, it should be a shock to no one that Fox News would conspire with the administration on such a blatant piece of propaganda.
Fox News and the Trump administration are working together to discredit the anti-Trump protesters because the protests are working. The Trump administration is drowning in a sea of bad press and poll numbers that are being caused by people refusing to sit down and be silent while the President violates our values as a country.
The protests are loud, strong, and effective. No amount of Fox News/Trump propaganda can reverse the tidal wave of rejection that is crashing down on Donald Trump.
